History of Site Changes and Development of new web-site.

July 7th 2011 - At last, a new Gallery page, with larger photos, showing member's work, and a mixture of locos at the new track site.

April 25th 2009 - In line with our new track - a set of revised guidelines for safe operation at the new club track site, as agreed by members at the April meeting.

April 15th 2009 - At last - a page about our new club track with a track plan. This compliments the diary that has been building over the last 2 years.

March 17th 2007 - The Bulleid locomotive pages have been moved to their own site, but still have a link from the NADMES Home page.

February 9th 2007 - New version of the feedback form added; updated version of Chitchat page added.

February 1st 2007 - New entries added to the Events list. Also a couple of items added to the loco design database; with fresh eyes found there was a bug in this when searching for Southern locos; this has been fixed, and colours of retrieved entries sorted out. Works much better now.

October 11th 2006 - New Area added to Home page, featuring Bulleid designed locomotives, five months in development. New Track page revised to include small photos, and several pages re-written to C# language, including this one.

July 17th 2006 - New Guest page; welcomes Alec's story of building his 'West Country' class locomotive, plus updating of several other Features pages to C# language with minor changes.

February 24th 2006 - New dynamic Events page combining Club and non-club events, allowing selection by type. This new .aspx page (written in C#) is the result of another huge learning curve - thanks to Deepak for his help and patience.

January 18th 2006 - New link on Home page to 2 new pages; recording the development of the New Track, and details of vandalism suffered at Sandringham Park track. Plus revised Chit-Chat content.

December 5-8th 2005 - Slight text updates to Editorial and Chitchat. As peoples monitors are getting bigger, I'm widening some of the pages to fill them better (and shorten them), and have a tall logo on selected pages. So far applied to Editorial, Chitchat, Lost wax - Case Study, and Track Opening (in Archive), they look better widened and allow for slightly larger photos.

December 1st 2005 - After literally years in the planning (originally conceived for the old web-site !) - finally a series of linked pages added to Resources with notes on designing Spark Arresters. Plus a change to the sequence of the Menu bars.

November 9th 2005 - New Guest page; from Chris, a pictoral record of the construction of his 2 in. Scale Burrell Showman's engine.

November 2nd 2005 - Expanded text added to Archive initial Menu, displayed when running over option buttons.

October 26th 2005 - An addition page added to Lost Wax Casting in Resources, illustrating the principles as a 'Case Study'.

October 13th 2005 - New Imperial / metric converter page added to Resources, plus various small updates.

June 7th 2005 - New Guest page from David, describing the start of building his 2'' scale Fowler traction engine.

May 23rd 2005 - Added dialog boxes to Features and Resources menus, to show expanded text when the mouse is run over an option button. This should give a bit more info about page content, and allow users to pick pages they will be more interested in. Also been having problems with accessing site at certain times of day, and mentioned this to the site web hosts who have now allocated a resource pool for this site, and it seems to have improved things and speeded them up a bit.

May 10th 2005 - Lots of activity this month, Exhibition photos and page of Traction engines photos fleshing out the 'Gallery' section. On-going tidy up, plus an update to the Editorial & Chitchat content. More pages on the way.

April 11th 2005 - New Guest page from Chris W describing the building of his 7 1/4'' diesel shunter

January 26th 2005 - A map and location info added to the Home and Contact pages, general tidy up of code and texts. Increasing use of style sheets to make loading quicker, has allowed variable texts size selection to be introduced to certain pages. Plus an update to the Editorial content. More records added to the loco database.

December 15th 2004 - new Guest Page, 'A Winter Story', plus seasonal flavour added to Home page. An update to Chitchat content, plus a Editorial comments page added to Home. Additional records added to the loco database and changes to its selection criteria. Lots !

November 12th 2004 - after much refining - the new Locomotive Design Database in the Resources section; plus updates to the ChitChat page.
