Here we present some photographs of just a few models representing the Society in our April 2005 Exhibition, held in Newton Abbot town centre.

There was a good turnout and plenty for people to see, models in various stages of completion, and all built to a good standard.

The variety of models shows the diverse interests of our membership, and as represented here, there is a healthy amount of building activity going on.

Ron's period 4-2-0 Crampton loco
is progressing at a good rate, and to a very high standard.
Behind it, 'Fredzengn', an 0-6-0 Simplex, is waiting for it's boiler.
Chris's fine marine type triple expansion engine.

Such an engine would normally be used to power a large boat.
A Southern Railway 'Bulleid Q1' austerity of 1942.
Rob's 5" gauge 0-6-0 is deceptively complete on the outside, but a lot of work is still required to finish it.
Colin's beautiful 3½" gauge 'Molly'.

Built to a very high standard, this perfectly captures the look of the prototype 3F class.
Bill's 3" compound traction engine. This wonderfully constructed model had a fabulous exhaust beat when working hard.
A 'Britannia' chassis in 5" gauge.

When Bob finishes it, this British Railways prototype will be a very powerful hauler.
A 'Warspite' steam launch', 52" long.
This beautifully crafted boat contains a gas fired steam boiler, and is propelled by a two cylinder engine marine engine.
2" scale Burrell Showman's engine.

See the Features section for an article on the construction of Chris' magnificent model.
Aveling & Porter 'DX' diesel roller.

Ken's intricate and unusual roller, running at idling revs, drew interest outside the Exhibition entrance.
Derby 4F in 3½" gauge.

Still missing a tender, some cladding and a good coat of paint.
