Under construction
Inevitably, given the complexity of some of our models, they can taken many months, and sometimes many years to complete. Along the way, much careful design and pain-staking effort goes into their construction.

Here we can glimpse a few projects being undertaken by club members, showing some of the delights we hope to see in action one day - be they locomotives, traction engines, tooling, or something even more exotic !

Now and then a newly completed model appears at Club models nights; hopefully some of these will be completed soon too.
It's good to know that building activity is very strong with our Society.

Bulleid Southern Railway Q1 Class
Ron looks over Rob's 5 inch gauge 0-6-0 loco at a recent model's night. A long time in construction, partly due to having to produce a design, Rob has captured the essence of the original war time austerity loco. A lot of effort has gone into getting the brass cladding right, but still much other work to finish before the locomotive can be steamed.

G.W.R. 51xx Large Prairie Class
Ted's 5" gauge Prairie was started many years ago, and has been stood aside for many years.
No doubt as time allows Ted will get around to completing this fine loco.

Superb workmanship in Fred's construction of this popular model; here the brass side tanks are being fitted.

G.N.R. Stirling Single in 5" gauge.
Excellent workmanship on this complex, but rewarding locomotive. Colin started this some years ago, then got distracted.
Let's hope he will carry on to finish this fine model before too long.
